Are women’s fit jerseys all strangely shaped?

I wore my Brady jersey out to meet a friend this football season and he remarked that I wasn’t wearing a women’s cut jersey.

Sure, I love good fit just as much as the next girl, but a football jersey?

Women’s cut athletic apparel is made for strange shaped models. I always always ALWAYS find them too short for my torso. And I don’t have a long torso. Maybe they are supposed to be for girls who wear things to show their midriff?

I am not one of them.

Instead, I urge you to shop for athletic gear in the little boys section. My Brady jersey is I believe 10 years old at this point and it is a boys XL. It’s big- but it fits over a hoodie when it needs to or over a t-shirt if I’m just hanging out.

AND I saved a ton of money by not going the adult sized route.

What do you think? I’m honestly curious about this one. Do you go for the women’s cut athletic gear when you’re buying souvenirs at the big game or cheering on your favorite team?

  1. I’ve never bought a women’s fit jersey and I tend to buy the “normal” team gear and not the women’s versions. My mom on the other hand loves the woman-ized team gear. I agree with the “boys section” method for jerseys. They are so cheap!! My Nova basketball jersey is actually a hand-me-down from my little brother. Haha
