I heart the iPhone

I just upgraded to the iPhone 4s, and so far I’m pretty pleased. I’m coming from the droid Incredible, so my interface hasn’t changed much and many of my apps are still the same, but I’m certainly happier than I was before.

The real difference I’ve seen so far is the availability of everything I want on the iPhone.

iPhones get great apps first, and not to mention, really cute cases.

For me the decision to move to the iPhone was because of my desire to be a part of the early adopter community. Not because I think the 4s will be around forever, but because all the apps I could ever want are available on the iPhone.

For example.

I work in social media, and I didn’t have Instagram.

Not that Instagram is the holy grail of all applications or social networks, but for me to talk about Instagram, I kind of wanted to be able to use it first. A few months ago, Instagram announced it was coming to Android soon. Soon still hasn’t happened.

So here I am with an iPhone.

My first Instagram pic! My friend Kelsey and I.

So far, here are the apps I’m loving:

Instagram

Duh! After ranting about it previously, obviously it was the first app I downloaded. I love the ease of use, how beautiful the visuals are, and the niche social network it provides.

Draw Something

I am seriously addicted to this game. I know it’s on android, too, but you really have to get it! A pictionary game for the hyper connected, I have games with lots of friends from across the states. I generally play during my commute (hope the people next to me enjoy my stick figures) and during lunch. Be warned though. Seriously addicting.

I’m excited to use:

Evernote

I’ve had this downloaded on my iPad for awhile, but don’t quite have as much use for it because I don’t always have my iPad on me. Having this on iPhone will allow me to make notes all the time, keep brainstorming, and hopefully not have to jump out of bed and turn the light on to find a pen and paper.

Flipboard

Another item I use plenty of on the iPad, it’s a beautiful way to go through my Google Reader and stay up to date on articles in my industry and beyond. I love how it reads like a magazine… it makes websites fun again!

What other apps should I download? I am more than open to suggestions.
