Seven Super Shots Photo Challenge

The lovely and hysterical Jorie Larsen nominated this here bloggity blog so I am taking part in HostelBookers 7Super Shots. Jorie Larsen is a dear friend, she blogs about things midwestern and awesome, and is also a terrific (and seriously hysterical) writer. Check out her blog in general, but if you want to see a funny shot of my sideways face in a weird kaleidoscope thing, definitely visit her 7 Super Shots blog.

So below I’m picking out basically my seven best shots that have been sitting in my computer’s belly and letting them have another life in the interwebs.

Let us begin.

A photo that…takes my breath away

While this may look like just your average small house at night, it is actually a house I helped to build as part of a Blitz Build- or building a house in under 48 hours. This house I believe took us around 40 hours to make, and this picture was taken somewhere around 3 am. I was a tired, but happy and fulfilled person.

A photo that…makes me laugh or smile

There really isn’t anything more childish and fun than playing in the snow and building a snowman. This guy we named Don, because of his dapper hat. It was quite snowy that year in the northeast and this was I believe was the second of the three consecutive snow days.

A photo that…makes me dream

It’s hard to believe that the previous photo and this photo are in the same vicinity, but it’s true. The following picture is from my old college campus- doesn’t the background just look painted on?

A photo that…makes me think

This photo was taken at beautiful Fraser Island off the coast of Australia, an island completely made of sand. This seventy-five mile beach is the only main highway and runway on the island, but it is also unbelieveably unreliable. If the tide changes, you might not be driving back that night.

A photo that…makes my mouth water

While I look a little crazy in the following picture, it’s for good reason. This was our last time eating at our favorite Thai restaurant, @home, in Glebe near Sydney. I still miss it.

A photo that…tells a story

Never ones to spend more than we had to, my senior spring break included the five of us roommates enjoying our time in one little room without a porthole for the duration of our cruise. Do note, they have now deemed this a fire hazard, because clearly no one could get out of the room when Meghan’s bed was in the middle of it.

A photo that…I am most proud of (aka my worthy of National Geographic shot)

New Zealand has some seriously picturesque scenes, and this one is one of my favorites.

To keep this lovely game going, and because I know they have some great pictures to share, I’m nominating the following blogs to participate with their 7 super shots:

Simply Kelly

Her New Leaf

53Blonde

The Preppy Post Grad

Excited to see what you choose!
