I began this blog as a means to express my efforts to do good after a professor spoke about his inability to lead a moral life at the School of Business. As he spoke about his transfer to the College of Arts & Sciences, I wanted to show how passionate we could be at V$B about business AND the greater good. Although I do write about moments of service, this blog has grown in to so much more. Not only do I talk about my life at Villanova, but I have spent time writing about other things in my life, and especially my job search.
My blog’s goal is changing so that I don’t have to try to focus on a singular topic. As I have officially finished my undergraduate education (my last final was yesterday), I will write about a wide array of topics to appeal to a young professional figuring out what to do in the “real world.” I will still write about personal items, service, networking, and marketing, but I’ve added a potpourri section that will include things like cooking, personal finance, and article and book reviews.
Now, my marketing education tells me to find the niche market I want to pursue and to write specific content for these readers. But my niche market is other young professionals who don’t quite know yet which niche (haha, that rhymes!) they belong to. I’ll be writing for me.
Whether you’re with me in this same boat of unknown waters, or reminiscing about the times when your life was completely uncertain, please join me as I explore the changes my life will make in the near future.
In my experience, life is never very certain, and professional life is definitely not. If you can embrace uncertainty as something that makes life interesting it will become more of a positive thana negative.
Sarah, I very much look forward to hearing more about your future. The blog looks fantastic! The potpourri section = pure genius! Terrific work!
