As you are all hopefully sitting down to delicious Easter hams like me, I thought I’d write a short post about the great things about being home. Although there are MANY reasons why being in the place you’re from are great- here are a few of my favorite things about being in this house.
- Cookie and Franny, our cats, are always around to welcome me in, if only because they think they are getting food out of it. So even if my parents aren’t home, I can always count on them to be excited when I come in the door.
- The water pressure in the shower.
- The endless wine and cheese, including this great Cabot tomato basil cheddar.
- The wonderful establishment The Summer House in Southwick, MA, which I guess doesn’t count as in my house, but I go at least once each time I’m home. They have delicious inexpensive meals during the day, and scrumptious ice cream to have for dessert. My personal favorite is Blue Goo ice cream, and I can’t remember the last time I ever ordered something else, I love it so much.
- Have I mentioned the water pressure in the shower?
- And of course, spending time with my family and friends. Whether it’s a calendar meeting, shopping trip or just hanging out, you can always count on the people who have been with you since the beginning.
Enjoy your weekend, wherever you may be!
Welcome home 🙂 I’m glad you got to enjoy some of the best local cheese while you were here! Thanks for the Cabot mention!
